Quick Info on Organ Harvesting

When a human organ such as heart and kidney are still useful for other people to use and be transplanted, then those organs are ok to be harvested. Most people call it today as organ harvesting but because of some term-sensitive parties, they prefer to call it organ donation instead. This term emphasizes the willingness of the donor to give his or her organs when he or she is already dead.
Organ harvesting can be a general term for both legal and illegal taking out of someone’s vital organs. In the legal manner, the organ harvesters make sure that the person who is donating the organ is truly dead. When they are sure that the person no longer has chances to live, then they may talk to the person and ask permission if he or she can donate his or her organ. On the other hand, someone who has power of attorney over the person can sign the papers before the harvesting of the organs can take place. There are places when some syndicates try to harvest organs illegally. They may either steal it from the dead person or they may kidnap someone alive and then kill the person for the organs. This is a heinous crime being watched by the authorities in most countries because it violates human rights.
